Lagoa da Tijuca (Barra da Tijuca) webcam

The image shows Tijuca Lake. Today what you see is all green, but the place is the epicenter of the hottest debates in Rio de Janeiro. The lake is becoming so polluted that residents are being affected. In the far shore there is a proposed project called Rio2 with dozens of buildings and thousands of new residents, with fierce opposition from ambientalists. In the background is the theme park Terra Encantada (witch went bankarupt, was taken by a bank, and today is functioning in a state of limbo). Come back to see this image in a few months and everything could be different!
